Description
Prime Source 80/20 Select Surfactant - 1 GallonPrime Source's Surfactant 80 / 20 is a non-ionic surfactant mainly used on leaf surfaces. Since water has a negative charge at one end and a positive charge on the other, the water molecules bind tightly together leaving the leaves with a waxy, water repellent surface.
This substance helps insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and other turf protection chemicals improve their performance into target surfaces. This liquid surfactant provides uniform spray coverage, improves herbicide retention, assists in penetration and lowers the surface tension.
The 80/20 Select is added to a spray mixture and helps in increasing the wetting ability and providing more uniform disposal on leaf surfaces.
80/20 Select has no chemical interaction with other active ingredients and allows for a uniform delivery of the spray mix. It increases coverage and assists with penetration of the insecticide and fungicide to the plants and improves herbicide retention.
Use: Commercial and Residential:
Herbicides, Fungicides, Insecticides and liquid Fertilizers
Read label for complete application instructions
Active Ingredient:
Proprietary blend of nonionic surfactants and humectants - 80.0%
How it Works:
Water is a polar molecule that has a negative charge at one end, and a positive charge at the other. Because of this, water molecules bind tightly together and form beads on smooth surfaces. Many leaves are covered by a waxy, water repellent surface. Spray solutions without a surfactant have difficultly attaching and penetrating these types of leaf surfaces.
This surfactant is designed to help spread and penetrate turf protection chemicals into target surfaces. When added to the spray mixture, 80/20 Select will increase the wetting ability, provide more uniform distribution on the leaf surface, and improve retention. It just simply increases performance.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
APPLICATION :
Ounces per 100 gallons of mix
Insecticides: 3 to 8
Fungicides: 3 to 8
Herbicides: 8 to 16
Acaricides: 3 to 8
Defoliants: 8 to 16

Wettable powders: 8 to 16
Note:
Use more when conditions are hot and dry and less when weeds are young and new. Not for aquatic use.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:
Always follow the instructions on the label for the pesticide being used. If the pesticide label does not give instructions use the WALES method:
Wettable powders then dry flowables, agitating constantly and allowing each powder to disperse thoroughly before adding the next ingredient
Adjuvants such as antifoams and water conditioners but not surfactants
Liquid and soluble products mulsifiable concentrates and Surfactants
